Encadria Staffing Solutions is recruiting for a temporary to hire Maintenance Technician.
Pay is $13.00-$15.00hr
Troubleshoots potential failure and breakdowns involving electrical, electronics, logic systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical machine parts of machines, equipment, and plant utilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Troubleshoots mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic or logic systems problems on various equipment to include: paint systems, robots, lasers, punch presses, press brakes, etc.
2. Troubleshoots, wires and repairs complex electrical and electronic equipment or machinery. Installs conduit, control boxes, switches, electrical cabinets, circuit breakers, etc. as required. Wires complex electronic equipment such as PLC's, DNC's, and CNC's. Performs all electrical work in lower classifications.
3. Disassembles machines and equipment to repair or replace broken or malfunctioning parts.
4. Performs preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and control circuitry to insure proper operation and makes necessary adjustments and repairs.
5. Performs layout and fabrication of miscellaneous weldments from sketches or drawings using various welding equipment.
6. Performs machining and forming of parts and material as required.
7. Performs plant utility maintenance involving the repair, replacement, and installation of electrical, air, water, oil, gas, or steam lines. Also, must gain knowledge of the plant's electrical substation and distribution systems.
8. Installs and relocates production machines and equipment. Sets up precision machinery.
9. Operates various industrial vehicles.
10. Develops and conducts on-the-job training of new employees as required.
11. Recommends changes to increase the reliability and longevity of equipment and plant utility operation.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following company safety rules. Reports on-the-job injuries and unsafe acts or conditions to the supervisor. Performs work outside, sometimes in adverse weather conditions, and in wet and oily/dirty conditions. Provides prompt and efficient service to internal and external customers with emphasis on quality of work. Works from orders, prints, sketches, specific and general instructions. Uses material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and walk-behinds. Uses oscilloscope, electrical recorders, electrical meters and gauges, power tools, saws, grinders, threaders, hydraulic presses, gas and electric welders, torches, lathes, mills, micrometers, calipers and gauges. Due to the nature of this job, working emergencies and scheduled weekends may be required. Briefs incoming shift personnel on matters of importance. Conducts on-the-job training for new and transferred employees. Attends meetings and training, as required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Having a high school diploma or GED is a requirement for this job. A two-year diploma in industrial maintenance and/or 3-5 years of representative work experience is preferred.
ABILITY
Being able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds is a requirement for this job. May lift weights up to 100 pounds with assistance.
