Major container company in the Memphis area has an immediate opening for an experienced Bi-lingual Safety Team Lead in a fast paced environment. Temporary to hire position working 1st shift (7am – 3:30pm) + OT; Pay commensurate experience. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a Team Leader role with an emphasis on safety in a warehouse facility. Also be proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel; excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Role: Safety Team Lead (Bi-lingual English to Spanish)
Responsibility:
· To provide support to the EHS Manager and direct associates in proper safety procedures
Expectations: (Support EHS Manager)
· Conduct safety training for warehouse associates
· Perform safety audits and record and correct violations
· Establish and maintain a culture that focuses on EHS compliance
· Support EHS Manager to resolve safety issues and concerns
· Maintain reports in accordance with corporate and regulatory requirements
· Communicating effectively to all levels from warehouse associates to management the process and trends towards receiving excellence in EHS compliance
· Maintain and properly update employee safety files
Education:
· HS Diploma

· A people orientated leadership style that seeks to educate and motivate
· Proactive, assertive a sense of urgency to problem solving
· Self motivated, would not need constant supervision to complete tasks
· Must be bi-lingual, (English to Spanish)
· Effective communication/interpersonal skills
· Ability to prioritize, organize, and work under pressure to meet deadlines
· A good working knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements with technical expertise
