Encadria Employee W-2 Information Available Online Again this year

2008 W-2 data will be available online for viewing and printing. At the end of the year we'll post instructions as to how you can access your personal information. Check back for updates the week of December 29th. W-2 forms will be available online after January 4, 2009.

New Worlds Open at Staffing World^® 2008

Under the bright Southern California sun, Staffing World 2008 opened last week in San Diego. Some 1,800 attendees found out how they could capitalize on their opportunities, improve their image, and shape their future at the ASA annual convention and expo.

In conjunction with Staffing World, ASA hosted the annual conference of Ciett, the global federation of national staffing trade associations. With staffing professionals coming from all over the U.S. and nearly 30 countries, it was the largest and most diverse event in the industry.

To kick off the week, attendees celebrated at the welcome reception in the expo hall, where some 180 exhibitors showcased products and services specifically designed for staffing firms.

At the opening ceremony, Robert Mulberger, CPC, CSP, president of NRI Staffing Resources, was inducted into the Leadership Hall of Fame. "Under Robb's leadership, the American Staffing Association became a stronger voice for the staffing industry in this country," said ASA past chairman Pat Rohe, CSP, of Custom Staffing.

Keynote speaker Frans Johansson opened the convention with an energetic and entertaining address about the importance of developing innovative ideas by establishing unexpected connections.

In Friday's keynote address, author Kjell Nordström advised staffing professionals to avoid business as usual in order to thrive in the new world of work. On Saturday, keynote speaker Mike Lipkin told listeners about the importance of developing deep bonds with their clients. And closing keynote speaker Janet Lapp explained that powerful things can happen in your firm when employees are internally motivated.

Staffing World attendees exchanged ideas and established relationships at the Knowledge Network. Attendees also took advantage of education opportunities in nearly 40 workshops.

National Staffing Employee of the Year Erin O'Connell expressed her gratitude to the industry. "My decision to work through a staffing company is one of the best choices I have made in my career," she said.

On the last day of Staffing World, four staffing firms and one affiliated chapter received the inaugural ASA Care Award. They were recognized for outstanding corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Kim Saulsberry joins the Encadria Team. On Monday, October 20, Kim Saulsberry joins the Encadria team as On-site Manager leading the Encadria office in Memphis, TN. Kim has over 7 years Staffing Industry experience, working with both regional and national firms. Welcome to the Encadria team Kim!!

Juanita Johnson promoted to multiple facility Human Resource Manager. The Encadria Team would like to congratulate our own, Juanita Johnson, on her recent promotion to Georgia-Pacific Human Resource Manager supporting multiple facilities. Juanita joined the Encadria team in September of 2006, as the On-site Manager leading the Encadria office in Memphis, TN. In her new role as HR Manager, Juanita will support the Memphis G-P Corrugated and RPC locations. Congratulations Juanita!

Encadria continues to add additional clients. As result of growing customer needs, Encadria completed licensing in Minnesota during the 2nd quarter of 2008. Encadria has grown to four branch locations and payrolling capabilities in 33 states and the District of Columbia.

Encadria's Co-Manager, Eddie Ray, was the featured speaker at the annual kick-off luncheon of the Heart of Peachtree Chapter of the IAAP. On July 22, Eddie Ray presented "Marketing Yourself Today" to over 30 attendees at the annual kick off luncheon of the Heart of Peachtree Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, held at Georgia-Pacific Center. Avoid check cashing hassles with direct deposit

If you're still walking or driving to the bank to get your paycheck cashed, now is a good time to consider choosing direct deposit because, beginning in June, Encadria will move its payroll banking activities from Wachovia Bank to Bank of America.

Employees who already use direct deposit should not even notice the difference.

However, employees who still cash paychecks at a local Wachovia Bank branch may find that their neighborhood Wachovia may not cash a Bank of America check unless you have an account with Wachovia bank.

Anyone still cashing paychecks can avoid all this by choosing direct deposit, through which Encadria will automatically deposit your paycheck into the account you choose. This eliminates check cashing issues in general or any delays associated with this transition to Bank of America. Direct deposit makes receiving your paycheck effortless.

To sign up for direct deposit, go to the Forms section of the Encadria website, print and fill out the Direct Deposit Authorization Form, then return to an Encadria office along with a voided check.

And to help Encadria transition to Bank of America, we are asking employees to identify and cash or deposit all outstanding payroll checks drawn on Wachovia Bank as soon as possible.
